A few of my favorite places.

Many of these are included in my book Wanderlust.

WANDERLUST: A photography book

Self Published with the help of some wonderful people and kickstarter.

In 2010 I decided to take a trip to Portugal. While visiting the family of a good friend, I realized that there is nothing that I would rather do than travel. Seeing the art and architecture of a new city had a major influence on me. Learning the language, eating the food, experiencing the culture and getting to know the people was truly inspiring. And all of this was just a plane ride away.

Very shortly after this trip, I saved up and booked another to Australia. Since then, I've been to Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Prague, Paris, etc. I have no plans of slowing my travels, but I would love to share my experience by creating a book out of the endless photos that I've taken wandering the streets and seeing the sites of many countries. My goal with this book is to inspire those who are curious about travel. I want to bring the kind of inspiration to my readers that I feel while exploring new things and snapping photos. I want to encourage people to look around, make the leap, and see what the world has to offer.

About Janay

Janay Everett, raised in western Philadelphia, with stints in Atlanta and New York City, currently resides in Santa Monica, California. On the way there she began her technical studies for animation at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Strongly influenced by abstract expressionism, Janay is able to speak to the viewer in terms that are emotional and often pointed. While working Janay likes to focus on process… the paint, the color, the shapes. She lives each moment of the painting's birth and only considers the finished product when prepared to stand back and consider the whole. It is a living document of her self expression.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald
